    Support responded with: "You can import records to existing table. Open table and choose import csv in the ellipses button menu. It allows to import with appending or with data removal. In order to find out what format it should be make csv export and see what it looks like."

    This works, my missing step was to have the table open before trying to import which was a little counter-intuitive however this does work as explained above. I wasn't able to locate these instructions in the online help however hopefully others will see this thread. Many thanks!
