An error occurred while saving the comment JK commentedIt appears that this attribute needs to be set when the DB field is first created. Whenever I create a new record, the default date is today's date, and this can be changed. I use this field property in several of my DBs, but there does not seem to be any way of changing this field property later.
Field properties should be able to be redefined after the DB is functional and populated with some data. -

There is a bit of a klutzy workaround for this. While one can only currently sort by one column, one can apply filters to multiple columns/fields, then apply a sort within the filtered records. It's not pretty, or intuitive, but it works for some databases.
I use this method for my shopping list. Filter by store; filter by check box field; then sort by item.
